Diane Brown, a native of Philadelphia, Pa.,
is a composer, actress, guitarist, producer,
director and community activist. She began
her career in radio at Pennsylvania and is
presently affiliated with B 101 FM and former
announcer at WHAT& WDAS radio stations.
As a composer, she wrote the Grammy
Award song entitled "Thank God For Mama",
for recording artist Dorothy Norwood.
She has hosted several television shows
and appeared in movies, "The Light, The
Mentors and Rock 'n; Roll Invaders. In
addition, she was the guitarist and musical
director for the all female band, "Ladies
Unlimited". In, December 2000, she was
inducted into The African American Legends
Hall of Fame in Philadelphia.
Diane Brown has served for 19 years as the
Executive Director of The Help and Hope
Center, a subsidiary of the Heavenly Hall
Christian Center. She also operates a
booking agency "First Class Entertainment"
and is the project director/teacher of the "We
Got Rhythm Youth After School Program". In
her spare time, she is writing her
autobiography entitled "Backstage".
