Tina Turner lead vocalist was a ferocious whirlwind of
power and energy, a raw sexual dynamo who was
impossible to contain when she hit the stage. She was
known for being the first female singer to embody the
true spirit of rock-n-roll.
Tina Turner, known for such hits as her signature
tune "Proud Mary" and other successful songs as
"What's Love Go To Do With It", "We Don't Need
Another Hero", Better Be Good To Me", and the Al
Green classic tune "Let's Stay Together".
On screen, she made a cameo performance as
the mayor in the Arnold Schwarzenegger movie
"Last Action Hero", 1993. She performed the titular
theme of the James Bond movie "Goldeneye", in
1995 and her theme song performance in "He
Lives In You", for Disney's animated feature "The
Lion King II: Simba's Pride-(1998), led to the
release of her platinum album "Twenty Four
Seven", in 1999.
She received her "Star" on the Hollywood Star of
Fame and was an inductee in the Rock and Roll
Hall of Fame (with Ike Turner) in 1991. Tina Turner
topped the Italian single charts with her duet with
artist "Elisa" in "Teach Me Again", 2006.
